HOME CHORES & KITCHEN DUTIES: NO MORE A TOPIC OF DEBATE

Being the helpmeet should mean that as a companion to man, the man already could do everything. Woman just helps. This should cut across every aspect of life. Abi?

For example, man should be able to cook his meals and not expect his meals to be made by woman. Therefore, after man has cooked and served himself, it is permissible for man to ask woman to 'help' him with the toothpick. Women are helpmeets oh...ehen. Man should not cross leg. Stop using Bible to confuse us on this matter abegπŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Woman hear me. Train up your boys to be self sufficient and independent in all ramifications within the home(chores, baby-sitting, inclusive) and not waiting for any woman to feed them, etc. Such that, if woman doesn't cook, boys will kukuma die of hunger. This patriarchal and ridiculous culture may not thrive for them in the Western world (those moving to Canada et al). Fast food will now come to their rescue. Even in Nigeria now sef, the idea and realization of that idea is no longer thriving.

We need more men groomed with these values. Raise your boys for our daughters to be family oriented. Boys who are involved from the beginning in the family and know that the home is a matter of two people and not one.πŸ“£πŸ“£πŸ“£

Our daughters will attract these kind of men.

Woman was not born for the kitchen nor to be cleaning up after man. Sounds like a broken record. Ok nahπŸ˜…. Man that can chase money, can also sweep and clean gas cooker. After all, woman can chase money and also clean cooker and much more without sweating sef. What a woman can do, man can do better with muscles. Ehen!πŸ’…

Good morning world!πŸƒ‍♀️πŸƒ‍♀️πŸƒ‍♀️

Is Love Enough to Get Married?

What say you? I think love may be enough for a wedding, but love is not enough to get married.

Is it just me or what? Are there still small weddings happening in Naija? If I got married in this era of big weddings, I would definitely be this bride.  Guest list would include my Pastors, close friends and family and we'd be done with the whole show quickly. These days, weddings are often than not, overly hyped. Couples are weighed by this subtle pressure do big weddings. It's a huge deal. If only couples could focus more on the marriage and less on the wedding.πŸ‘

Goodbye Black Berry Messenger (BBM)

BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), that stuff that you and I forgot still existed, is shutting down for good in 3 days. πŸ™

I only stopped using BBM to chat about a year ago. I had a few friends still on it until WhatsApp showed up fulltime on my radar. I wonder if there are still any BBM diehards out there.πŸ™‹‍♀️

BB was my first smartphone and the BBmessenger was a life saver after YahooMessenger. What are your BBM memoirs?

A Cancelled Wedding

A lesson or two to learn from her storyπŸ‘‡

It must have been a huge mess. I hate to imagine the chaotic outcome of this lady's seemingly last minute decision. The finger pointing and mouth running. I bet her biggest critics would have been fellow women. Women shaming women since 19kporodom.

But hey, there's the happy endingπŸ˜‡. She healed and found love again.πŸ’— Most times, follow your instincts. I've heard people say that, "A broken engagement is better than a broken marriage"πŸ’˜. People die in silence from societal and peer pressures, pleasing others against their will. With marriage, your happiness and peace should come first.... always!

Feedback from A Fascinating Group Discussion On My Debut Fiction Novel

Hi there,

So yesterday, I was honored to be part of a two hour discussion on my debut fiction novel, Amazon in the Gully, organised and hosted by the noble Barrister, Halima Musa-Bakwunye. It was anchored via Whats-app in my Alma Mater Year Group and thereafter, a chat followed on her Facebook page.

I grinned from ear to ear, listening to participants dissect the novel brilliantly with varied perspectives. Indeed, it was an interesting and quite rewarding experience.

I thought to screen-grab a few comments from participants:

Lydia Balogun Wilson-

Halima Musa-Bakwunye-

Dorothy Madu-

Hannatu Ismail-

You can keep track of highlights of the group discussion on Halima Musa-Bakwunye's Facebook page by clicking on this link;

Special thanks go to Halima  and all participants from the Class of 96 set, Federal Government Girls' College Zaria.

Best wishes,

Hi everyone.

I'll be posting reviews of my book, Amazon in the Gully, as they come in. A schoolmate, Dorothy Madu, dropped me one. Here's a screenshot of her whatsapp message.

With such lovely review, one as a writer, is only spurred on to write more. I must confess that it leaves me feeling honoured and flattered.

Thanking everyone immensely for your support. I am screaming with excitement!!! It's quite rewarding to read your reviews. Blessings!!!
